The Greater Naples YMCA is seeking experienced applicants who will provide safe swim instruction for class participants of different ages and skill levels following YMCA Aquatic guidelines. The instructor will ensure an atmosphere of professionalism, discipline, friendliness and safety within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Follow National YMCA Aquatic Program guidelines.
- Demonstrate appropriate swimming techniques to participants within different levels.
- Keep attendance, skills tracking record and evaluate participant progress.
- Emphasize and maintain safety during all lessons.
- Create a positive learning environment.
- Enforce pool policies and procedures.
- Lock and secure pool at closing.
- Complete aquatic logs and reports.
- Participate in aquatics quarterly drills and maintain certifications.
- Attend monthly in-service training.
Qualifications:
- YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor (YSL) or American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
- CPR/AED, Oxygen Administration and First Aid certifications.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
